Seichem, pronounced “say keem”, is reputedly one of the healing arts practised in ancient Egypt.   There are others known as Sekhem, Seichim and SKHM.  As Seichem healing is energy channelling, it has no association with religion, faith or belief system and can be received and practised by anyone who requests to be healed or energised. Healing can be given as a “hands on” treatment to people, animals, all living things and even electrical appliances! It can also be sent across time and space to those not able to attend a session personally. This is known as distant or absent healing

The Five Elemental Healing Rays

Reiki (earth) is experienced as heat or cold, just as the Earth can be hot or cold. It can influence and benefit physical, mental and emotional health. Other characteristics of Earth energy are those of grounding and foundation. Reiki forms the base through which the other elemental rays may operate.  

Sophi-el (water) is felt as a gentle, pulsing coolness. It helps to heal deep emotional issues, opens the heart to love and enhances intuitive issues. Sophi-el may help with deep rage and bottled up anger, addictions etc., and in combination with the other rays, it can bring in energies of joy and love.

Additionally, Sophi-el enhances the healer’s psychic awareness and intuitive abilities, thereby helping them to “know” where to place their hands, or what advice or message to give a client if that’s appropriate to improve the effectiveness of the treatment.

Angeliclight (air and spirit) feels like cool, gentle breeze and can facilitate mental and spiritual healing.   It is a two-fold ray, working with both the element air, and the Angelic realm.   It helps to re-establish one’s link with the energies of the Angelic realm, and the Higher Self of both the Healer and the Healee.

After being initiated into Angeliclight, celestial Angels are able to project themselves over the healer, they may gently oversee and facilitate the healing. Refer to the books “Hands of Light and Light Emerging” by Barbara Ann Brennan, there are some wonderful paintings of our helpers.  These energies are also known as our Reiki Guides and students are encouraged to discover who they are, and to invite them to help move or guide their hands. Quite often a client will say that they could feel more than one pair of hands on them.

Sakara (fire) is experienced as a tingling, rather like an electric current.   It also works in the aura, helping to transmute heavy, negative blockages. Sakara repairs the physical body and is the vessel which holds the Angeliclight for the healer. Sakara brings a Rainbow of protective light which surrounds the aura.

These spiritually guided rays work individually or altogether, depending on the needs of the recipient.

Attunements

In order to channel these elemental rays of love and light, you must be attuned to them by a Reiki & Seichem Master. Being initiated into these rays accelerates your own personal and spiritual growth and development.

 Reiki Rays & Seichem is a system of standardised attunements ensuring the quality and pureness of the energy.

 

The Reiki & Seichem Association we have here in the UK run events during the year and you can join if you wish once you start your training. 

We also have a newsletter in which you are kept in touch with other Reiki’s and you can ask questions, write articles and exchange stories.  

Sadly, most of the Traditional Western Reiki forms are without backup, often with skimpy one day tuition, and so adds even more reason to choose The Reiki & Seichem Association.  Furthermore, Teaching Masters of the Association agree only to give Standardised Initiations that are completely compatible with each other, unlike Traditional Western Reiki and fringe Reiki, where teachers are free to tweak and interfere with the universal attunements, hence you will see all sorts of incompatible Reiki forms popping up all over the place.

Now for the REALLY good bit! You don’t just get Reiki, you also are attuned to Seichem.   Reiki allows you to channel the healing energies of the Element Earth. Seichem adds Water, Wind, Fire and Ether, the Five Elements. So you will be channelling more than just the Earth element. It goes without saying that this wider spectrum of vibrations may well be more beneficial than Reiki alone.

Also included in my tuition is the attunement to the Silver Violet Flame at 1^st Degree, to help with the removal and transmutation of negative energies, and at 2^nd Degree, you are given the Egyptian YOD attunement, connecting the Rainbow Bridge to your Higher Self, helping you to develop your intuition.

Sooner or later, it will be necessary to have recognised qualifications in order to practise professionally, as EEC legislation is just around the corner. The Reiki & Seichem Association has already been accepted by the Reiki Council and we are represented at Council meetings. Our Qualifications, Standards and Code of Conduct has been accepted.  To comply with new standards, I also include basic Anatomy and Physiology in 1^st Degree training.

How does “sending” healing to someone, or something really work?   Well firstly we don’t actually need to “send” healing or energy, it just helps us mere mortals to get our heads around it more acceptably if we think we are “sending” it.   The Indian Blessing “Namaste” gives us a clue to what the ancients knew all along.

Namaste is used at the end of a Reiki treatment as a sign of Respect, and of a Thank You to the person’s Spirit for allowing us to Meld and be within each other’s Aura and Personal Space.  

So what does this mean?  Quite simply, we are all connected.   Some may call it The String Theory, or The Big Bang Theory.   This explains how many people will have thought of someone they haven’t seen for along while, and seconds later the phone rings and it’s them!   Sometimes you may think of a person and later that day you bump into them at a supermarket, or in a large city and even sometimes, a foreign country!   “Two minds think alike”, what does that really mean?  The thought ACTIVATES a switch as it were, perhaps even into the future.  Twins are really very close souls and are usually even more strongly connected, often feeling each other’s thoughts and feelings, although they may be miles apart.

An amazing experience I had many years ago, was when one Sunday I thought to ring a Kodak rep, John Chapman who I hadn’t seen for several years about something photographic.  As it was a Sunday, I decided not to disturb him at home and to wait until the next day.  The following morning I went out on my delivery round and by mid afternoon I called in to a photographer in Wigan.   As I got out of my van, guess who pulled up behind me?  John Chapman!  What are the chances of that happening!  That also begs the question of the possibility of moving forwards and backwards in time?

So if we accept that we are all connected, then we can begin to realize that all we have to do is to flick the switch and it’s done.   It’s rather like your house is all wired up to the light bulbs at one end and the source (wherever that is) at the other end.   Then you make a conscious effort to turn the lights on by flicking the switch.

This is how Reiki and Healing works, I call it Little Souls connecting to The Universal Big Soul, who in turn is connected also to all the other Little Souls.   I also refer to a Reiki Healer as one who connects a Little Leaky Battery to The Big Battery of the Universe in order to “charge it up”!

How do we “flick the switch”?   It’s so easy, just intend to do it and it’s done!

You can do it in all sorts of ways, using a surrogate is just one way.   When I email out requests for healing for people, pets, living things and even things like job interviews etc, just having dozens of people reading the email sends out an intention to the Universe and it works wonders.   I’m even beginning to get a reputation for helping people to pass their interviews for job applications!

It is the all important INTENTION that makes it work, this is why when doing hands on healing you may for example need to put your hand on the back of a chair when wanting to do a person’s rear heart chakra.   I used to think the Reiki would go through anything, as I had evidence that healing took place even when there was an obstruction between my hands and my client’s body.  Now I know that it doesn’t need to “go through”, it simply IS where you INTEND it to be.  You can, if through necessity, i.e., a bed bound person, place your hands on one side of a person’s body, with the intention that both sides be done equally!
